1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and any details submitted through the waitlist or course enrolment forms. We may also collect basic analytics about how you use the site (pages visited, device type, etc.).

2. YouTube API Services

Rith Deb uses YouTube API Services, provided by Google, through a private internal tool called "Rith Deb Shorts". Only the channel owner uses it, to upload videos to the Rith Deb YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@rithdeb). Visitors to this website don't use the tool and are never asked to connect their YouTube or Google accounts.

YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Because we use YouTube API Services, use of YouTube content and features is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google processes any data that passes through YouTube API Services under the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

What data the tool accesses. The tool signs in with Google OAuth 2.0 on the channel owner's own Google account. It uses only two permissions: uploading videos (youtube.upload) and reading basic details of the owner's own channel (youtube.readonly), which confirm uploads went to the correct channel. It does not access, collect or process data about any other YouTube user, viewer, subscriber or commenter.

What data is stored, and where. The only thing stored is an OAuth access/refresh token for the channel owner's own account. It is kept privately on the owner's own secured computer so uploads can be authorised. It isn't stored on this website, isn't shared with or sold to anyone, and isn't used for advertising or analytics. The tool doesn't use cookies or any device tracking.

How to revoke access. The channel owner can revoke the tool's access at any time from the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Revoking access makes the stored token unusable straight away.

Data deletion. We delete the stored token within 7 days of access being revoked, of the tool no longer being used, or of a deletion request. We never keep data obtained through YouTube API Services for longer than 30 days without refreshing or re-authorising it. To ask about or request deletion, email rithdeb1@gmail.com.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to deliver courses and communications you have requested, to improve the platform, to send updates about new courses and events, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and understand usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (hosting, payments, email) strictly to operate the service, or when required by law.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those messages. To ask us to delete any data, email rithdeb1@gmail.com and we will delete it within 7 days.
